​Town centre promotion day! It was a seasonally drenching wet and bitterly cold day on Westborough's precinct.  Despite the weather Tim, Mick and Colin happily showed off the new Mercedes minibus!  We spent the day answering the public's queries and questions about the Dial A Ride service.  It took 2 days to thaw out! If you want any further information please get in touch...contact us ​January 2019

 

​New Mercedes latest addition to the fleet! We took delivery of an amazing Mercedes 514 16-seater minibus in December.  A fully automatic transmission with the latest PLS underfloor lift this bus supplied by Minibus Options.  The purchase was made possible with local donations  and massive help from...    Sir George Martin Trust   The Jack Brunton Charitable Trust  and a local anonymous local benefactor  December 2018

 

 

 

​Scarborough Cavaliers Dragon Boats The Rotary Club of Scarborough Cavaliers had Dial A Ride as one of their chosen charities this year and very kindly donated £500.   An additional £180 was donated by Tom Potter from the sale of his wonderful wooded Christmas figures. The money raised was from the Dragon Boats festival at Wykeham lakes in the summer.  An amazing day out!  Look out for the next Dragon Boat's day in 2020! Thanks to Jonathan Knight for, once again, ensuring the standard of the pork pies  had not diminished since last year's soiree!     November 2018

 

 

​Garfield Weston FoundationA massive, huge thank you to The Garfield Weston Foundation for their grant towards our next minibus.    The grant is for £41,000.00.   This will be used to buy a brand new Fiat Ducato  15 seater accessible minibus!  Once again, thank you for your support, Garfield Weston!October 2018

​Open Air Theatre CollectionThanks to everyone who helped fill our collecting buckets at the James concert on 18th August!   We raised a magnificent £314.00 and that's twice the total of last year's collection!  James' fans rock!!! Special thanks once again to Scarborough Open Air Theatre for their kindness and hospitality    August 2018

 

​HolyfieldSadly, on Friday 15th December we had to take the decision tolet Holyfield join the Heavenly cattery in the sky.  He was nearly 21 human years old and chose to stay with us for the last 16 years or so.  He will be sadly missed by everyone here! December 2017

​New minibus arrives!Minibus Options of Whaley Bridge supplied, once again, our latest minibus.  Similar to our other Renault Masters this vehicle has 12 passenger seats and is fully accessible for those using wheelchairs or with mobility problems.    Livery  will  be finishing touch before its put into service. ​September 2017

​Success at Scarborough's Open Air Theatre for the 80s Vs 90s nightWe were shaking the buckets at SOAT on 5 August  and we raised £149.71 for Dial A Ride.  Thanks to Tim, Amanda, Mick and Les (he took the photo!).    A big thank you to Scarborough Borough Council and everyone at the Open Air Theatre but a massive thank you to everyone that put money in our buckets! And it didn’t rain either! ​August 2017

​NEW LOW FLOOR MINIBUS ARRIVES!  THE TUCANA IIOur aging Bluebird Tucana vehicles have now been retired!  With a combined mileage of over half a million miles, it was time to move then on.To replace them we have now taken delivery of Mellor Coachcraft 's very first Tucana II 14-seater low floor minibus!   It's really superb and a huge improvement.  A welcome addition to our fleet!August 2016

​Passenger Survey Results...   ...'Charity Hailed A Godsend' Scarborough Dial a Ride has received glowing feedback from its customers in its latest passenger survey. The results from the charity’s 2015 questionnaire have just been released and show that 99.5 per cent of people were happy with the way their journey was arranged.
